We are pleased to announce the further development and support of the BPM engine Camunda 7 under the name CIB seven. CIB will support and maintain the Community Edition of Camunda 7 as an open-source fork from October 2025.

CIB seven is available as an open source project on Github.
CIB flow customers can already use CIB seven fully functional. The new CIB seven interface can be viewed as a demo version in CIB flow.

The namespace has been renamed to CIB in this release. Mavel Central: Artifacts are available from the repository.

With CIB seven, CIB is further developing the BPM engine Camunda 7 Community Edition
CIB seven will be the reliable and long-term stable alternative to Camunda Standard, with support and maintenance for the Community Edition. Existing community users could therefore save a lot of effort and costs.

CIB seven is the basis for CIB flow, CIB's Low-Code-BPMN 2.0 Plattform which has been enabling companies and administrations to easily start digitizing and automating their business processes since 2020. CIB flow comprises more than 200 intelligent, sometimes AI-supported standard functions and value-added solutions.
The existing modules, components and the Low-Code approach of CIB flow provide a flexible and powerful basis for the further development and optimization of business processes with CIB seven. Customers can benefit from the seamless integration and extended possibilities offered by this combination.
